Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is looking to bring on a Supplemental MRI Technologist to join our growing team. The MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.

1.
It is the expectation of all NWOS employees to demonstrate, uphold and educate staff on all 19 NWOS Fundamentals.
2.
Performs MRI studies that meet or exceed standards established by providers and interpreting radiologists.
3.
Prepares MRI room and equipment for procedures, including coil selection and placement, room setup, and stocking necessary supplies.
4.
Safely assists patients on and off the MRI table and positions patients to ensure accurate imaging while maintaining comfort.
5.
Handles and positions MRI coils and related equipment appropriately for each exam.
6.
Adheres to all MRI safety guidelines and ensures patient and staff compliance with safety protocols.
7.
Screens, interviews, and assesses patients prior to MRI examinations.
8.
Explains procedures to patients and addresses questions to ensure understanding and cooperation.
9.
Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and ensures completeness of studies.
10.
Performs parenteral procedures as applicable, including IV starts, contrast administration, and removal in accordance with scope of practice.
11.
Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
12.
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
13.
Communicates effectively with patients, providers, and team members to support efficient workflow and high-quality care.
14.
Reports equipment issues, safety concerns, or workflow problems to appropriate leadership.
15.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.
Supplemental. 10-hour shift, 7:30 am- 5:30 pm
Work is performed in an office environment.
Involves frequent telephone and personal contact with patients.
Interaction with patients and others is constant and interrupted.
Work may require long periods of sitting, also stooping, bending and stretching for files.
Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, type at 50 wpm, operate a telephone, copier, fax, printers and such other office equipment as necessary.
Vision must be correctable to view and type on computer screens for long periods of time.
Must be flexible with work time and hours and be able to work in an environment which may be fast paced and stressful.
$31.00 to 57.68
Requires a high school diploma, completion of a certified MRI Technologist program, and current registration as a Radiology Technologist in Washington State. BLS certification is required, and previous experience in orthopedic or outpatient imaging is preferred.
