The Clinical Pharmacist provides safe and effective pharmaceutical care to inpatient patients, managing drug therapy and ensuring the appropriateness of medication orders. They serve as a primary resource for drug information, provide patient counseling, and precept pharmacy students.
A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a Virginia Pharmacist License are required, with a Doctorate (PharmD) preferred. Candidates must have BLS certification, and ACLS, residency training, or oncology experience are preferred.
