Provides respiratory care by assessing patients, implementing and evaluating care plans, and administering prescribed medications. Collaborates with healthcare teams to improve delivery and provides health education to patients and their families.
Requires a current state license, CRT credential, and graduation from a CoARC-accredited program. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
Provides respiratory care using critical thinking skills learned and refined through education and experience as a Respiratory Therapist. A Certified Respiratory Therapist demonstrates these skills by successfully completing examinations administered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and earning the credential CRT. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Performs other job duties as assigned.
Recent graduates (within 1.5 years) holding CRT or RRT credentials through the NBRC and licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioners (LRCP) by the Arkansas State Medical Board.
Graduate of an accredited program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
