Infusion services website here: Sentara Pharmacy and Infusion Services The IV Pharmacy Tech II performs the technician responsibilities of clinical home infusion pharmacy care delivery under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Duties Demonstrates advanced technical skills and ownership of the work area Demonstrates the ability to work independently defined areas of pharmacy practice competently Assumes local and/or system responsibility for assigned tasks related to advanced clinical job positions Participates in the training of new employees Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately Participates in clinical initiatives to continuously improve patient care Training in an advanced Clinical Pharmacy Technician job function In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice Education HS Diploma or equivalent Certification/Licensure Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required) CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB (Required) Experience 2 Years Pharmacy Experience (Required) 1
