The Phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining blood samples for laboratory testing and performing clerical duties such as charting and paperwork. The role also involves performing supervised tests and transporting samples or providing services at various locations using a personal vehicle.
Candidates must hold a current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license, a BCLS (CPR) certificate, and a valid driver's license with insurance. An Associate degree in Science or MLT (ASCP) is preferred.
Knowledge of typing and laboratory computer systems preferred.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION Associate degree in Science or MLT (ASCP) preferred.
