The APP will support medical activities, performance metrics, and quality control standards within the Trauma Surgery department. They are responsible for maintaining a collaborating physician agreement and managing documentation and prescriptive duties.
Requires a Master's in Nursing or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program with valid Virginia licensure. BLS certification is required, while ACLS is preferred for PAs.
Position Title: PRN APP (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant)- Trauma Surgery
Purpose & Scope: An Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) employed by VHC Health Physicians (“Physician Group”) is required to complete an APP Agreement with their Collaborating Physician(s). This Agreement will describe the APP’s role and function, APP/Physician Relationship, Functions of the APP, Privileges/Procedures, Prescriptive Authority, Documentation Responsibilities and Evaluation process. Overall, the APP will support objectives, budget, performance metrics and medical activities at an Individual level including implementation of quality control standards, risk management and compliance programs.
Master's in Nursing Required or Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
