The Monitor Technician observes ECG, CCTV, and video monitors to detect changes in patient heart rates and rhythms. They are responsible for alerting clinicians to arrhythmias and maintaining monitoring equipment.
Observes patients electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor, closed-circuit television (CCTV), and video monitors. Alerts clinicians to any changes in patient rates, rhythms, and arrhythmia occurrences.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Prior relevant experience, preferred.
Prior experience with telemetry monitoring, preferred.
Certification in cardiac monitoring, preferred.
