Position Summary

Aldevra is currently seeking an Audiology Technician to assist Audiologist in the performance of audiologic evaluations and the fitting of hearing aids. Provide direct patient support for walk-in and telephone hearing aid problems. Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assist Audiologist in Audiological Evaluations Taking accurate ear mold impressions Preparing the mold for shipping Tracking hearing aid orders and communicating with vendors Monitoring supplies Routine repairs of hearing aids Clean and maintain audiologic equipment in accordance with OSHA standards Provide chart review as needed Instruct clients in the proper maintenance, cleaning and use of hearing aids and/or assisted listening devices (ALD) Communicating and documenting patient education and reports in the medical record Cerumen Management May routinely be required to do a variety of previously unforeseen tasks in order to assist with the smooth function of the Audiology clinic

    Requirements

    Security Requirements: Must be able to obtain a PIV security badge. This position requires passing an extensive background check.

    Qualifications

    High school graduate or equivalent and training One-year experience as Audiology Technician is preferred One-year previous medical experience or training in medical fields (such as medical assistant, lab assistant, LPN). Dependable, professional, punctual and must have good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently Authorized to work in the United States for any employer Provide proof of the following tests: Tuberculosis Skin Test (TST) or interferon-gamma release assays (IGRA) Measles, Mumps, and Rubella Varicella Acellular Pertussis Influenza OSHA regulation concerning occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens Veterans and Military Spouses are encouraged to apply.
