Provide comprehensive cancer treatment across all disease sites using advanced radiation technologies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team including physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to manage a high volume of patients.

Overview

  • OSF HealthCare is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join a busy, well-established cancer center in Rockford, Illinois. This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a strong clinical practice with advanced technology, collaborative support, and excellent earning potential. Join five Hematology/Oncology physicians, three APP’s, one Radiation Oncologist and additional surgical and trauma providers in this Center for Cancer Care attached to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Rockford, Illinois. Established & Growing Practice Supported by a robust oncology team consisting of physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and dedicated nursing staff Strong patient volume with immediate ramp-up potential Advanced Technologies 2 state-of-the-art linear accelerators HDR brachytherapy CT simulator & advanced imaging Eclipse treatment planning system &

  • Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $525,000-$700,000. Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

Education:

  • Doctorate
  • Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state. Board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology. Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs. Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.

Requirements

Must hold a Doctorate degree and be a physician licensed to practice medicine in Illinois. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in radiation oncology and eligible for Medicare/Medicaid provider status.
