The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting and preparing various specimens for analysis, including venipuncture and capillary draws. Additional duties include performing EKGs, managing order entry for Medicare patients, and ensuring proper specimen transport and infection control.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid Phlebotomy Technician Certification from an approved body (e.g., ASCP, NHA, AMT). Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire, along with experience in a clinical setting.
