The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with deficits in speech, language, hearing, swallowing, and cognition. They develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve patient independence and quality of life.
Candidates must hold a Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology and a current state license or certification. A minimum of one year of experience in geriatric rehabilitation is preferred, along with ASHA certification or the ability to obtain it.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at a beautiful Assisted Living community with Memory Care in Kansas City, KS. We are looking for an SLP who is enthusiastic about working with older adults and has experience working with memory care residents and those living with cognitive deficits, as well as communication and swallowing disorders. Master of Science degree in Speech/Language Pathology. Current license/certification in the state of practice. Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in geriatric rehabilitation. Must meet the educational requirements for certification and be in the process of accumulating the supervised experience or meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Adequate computer skills in order to complete required job duties and computerized documentation. Demonstrated competency in applying principles, methods, materials and equipment used in speech therapy.
