The Medical Assistant will manage and care for clients, performing clinical procedures and administrative duties. Responsibilities include providing assistance at on-site events, maintaining medical supplies, verifying patient information, and ensuring confidentiality.
Candidates must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent with a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience. Additional requirements include the ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as reliable transportation.
Provide information, services, and assistance to clients and patients at PRIME on-site events and various PRIME Clinics. Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating, including sterilization of medical instruments.. Verifies patient information, medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit. Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; drug & alcohol screening, audiograms, EKG's, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test; and reporting patient history summary. Saves doctors' time by helping with office procedures. Assist in injury care Perform phlebotomy service and give injections. Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential. Updating and filing medical records according to State and Federal laws. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards; facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements. Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Take and record messages Must have the ability to take on-call on a rotating basis and provide services to surrounding PRIME locations and on-site. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays Must have dependable transportation Other duties as assigned
