Collect blood and urine specimens and perform patient functions within the Hospital Information System. Handle various laboratory duties including centrifuging samples, managing inventory, and communicating test results.
Completion of a post-secondary program in Phlebotomy or Medical Assisting is required. Certification from the National Phlebotomy Society or National Society Clinical Pathology is preferred.
• Completion of post secondary program in Phlebotomy/Medical Assistant and experience as a laboratory phlebotomist preferred, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. National Phlebotomy Society certification, National Society Clinical Pathology preferred or other assisting certification(s).
