  • Range: $140,000.00 - $140,000.00 Salary/yearWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Podiatrist to join our dedicated Healthcare team at Life Medical. In this role, the Podiatrist Medical focuses is on evaluation and treatment of diseases of the foot with emphasis in health and conditions affecting the lower extremities. The care provided will be inclusive of initial assessment, minor procedures (not including the operating room), and appropriate triage where necessary.

  • Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, presentation and epidemiology of medical conditions. Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patient’s foot and ankle conditions Diagnosis podiatric conditions and develop individualized treatment plans. Performs history and physical assessments of patients that are accurate, complete, concise, relevant and appropriate for age, gender and clinical problem. Orders appropriate diagnostic studies and correctly interprets the results. Utilizes critical thinking to synthesize and analyze collected data. Develops, implements, evaluates and alters the plan of care as needed. Manages general medical and surgical conditions based on knowledge of the indications, contraindications, side effects, interactions and adverse reactions of pharmacologic agents and other relevant treatment modalities. Counsels and educates patients and families. Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area. Maintains accurate, complete, concise and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

  • Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.

Light

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Even though the weight lifted may only be negligible

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree and possess an active New Jersey DPM license and DEA license. A minimum of five years of experience in podiatric medicine is required.
