Assist physicians in performing invasive electrophysiology procedures and provide direct and indirect care to patients. Maintain EP Lab equipment and manage patient sedation during established cardiac procedures.
Requires a background as an RN, RCIS, Respiratory Therapist, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist. Must possess BCLS and ACLS certifications and obtain RCIS/RCES certification within 24 months.
Assisting the physician in performance of invasive electrophysiology procedures. Has basic knowledge of EP Lab equipment and the maintenance of it while administering direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Provides direct and indirect care during established procedures and sedation for patients.
Education Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), EP program graduate, Respiratory Therapist, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, or Radiology Technologist Required Work Experience No experience required Required Licenses and Certifications Based on healthcare experience (see above) applicable license .
