Job Description

Support comprehensive dental care delivery within a collaborative outpatient healthcare environment serving U.S. government personnel in Iraq. Working alongside dentists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, this Dental Assistant role combines hands-on clinical support with patient coordination and operational workflow responsibilities to help ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered oral healthcare services.

This position offers the opportunity to support a broad range of preventive, restorative, and specialty dental procedures while working closely with experienced dental professionals in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Location: Iraq

Key Responsibilities Assist dentists during routine and specialty dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques while supporting efficient patient flow and clinical operations.

Prepare, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas in accordance with infection control and safety standards.

Perform standard and specialty dental imaging in traditional and digital formats while supporting accurate patient documentation and treatment coordination.

Support patient scheduling, appointment coordination, oral health education, and post-treatment care communication.

Assist with inventory management, supply coordination, and administrative support functions that contribute to smooth daily clinic operations.

Qualifications

Requirements

Successful completion of an accredited Dental Assistant or Dental Hygiene program. Current BLS certification required; current Dental Assistant licensure/registration and DANB/CDA certification preferred where applicable. 3+ years of recent Dental Assistant experience preferred, including recent hands-on clinical practice within the past year. Experience supporting chairside dental procedures, dental imaging, sterilization processes, and patient documentation. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with a valid passport Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT security clearance and meet pre-deployment physical requirements. Preferred Prior experience supporting military, government, or international healthcare environments.
