Must have completed a Nursing Assistant course and be listed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry. Completion of a standardized medication administration training program for unlicensed personnel is required.
Martin Luther Care Center is seeking a ursing Trained Medical Aide (TMA) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care and Long Term Care)! This role provides hands on care and support services for our senior age patients at our spacious care center in Bloomington, MN. The Nursing Assistant/Registered/TMA is responsible for providing resident care and services including administration of medication under the direction of the nurse. This patient support position includes; 56 hours per two weeks Evening shift Every other weekend
Assists residents with personal cares(ADL’s) based on individual plan of care and kardex: Provides AM/PM cares Provides full bath/shower Provides oral hygiene Provides nail care; shaving as appropriate Checks hearing aides; cleans eye glasses Assures that residents are clean, dry, dressed and groomed appropriately Reposition residents Performs Restorative Nursing Programs (i.e. ROM, ambulation) as applicable Provides adequate nutrition & hydration (distributes meal trays, assists residents as needed, provides nourishment & water between meals as requested) Assures individual toileting plan is followed Answers call lights promptly Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff: Receives report at the start of the shift Documents completed cares in POC Responds to emergency situations appropriately Maintains a clean medication cart
Required Qualifications Nursing Assistant Course Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry Completion a standardized medication administration training program for unlicensed personnel in nursing homes which is offered through a Minnesota postsecondary educational institution. This does not expire as long as they keep their NAR certification current.
Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 1 year None to 1 Year
