Provide high-quality medical and physical care to residents in assisted living and memory care settings to support their daily needs. Responsibilities include assisting with grooming, bathing, eating, and monitoring vital signs while maintaining required documentation.
Candidates must complete a state-approved nursing assistant training program and obtain Minnesota certification within six months of employment. Proficiency in English and compatibility with the organization's person-directed care philosophy are required.
Day shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm including every other weekend. Total of 6 shifts every two weeks with the option to pick up additional shifts.

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality care and services to residents to support the choices of residents, while maintaining consistency with regulations and established best practices. Provide medical and physical care to residents to meet their daily needs and enable them to function at the highest possible level based upon resident preferences, regulations and established best practices. Help each resident achieve “their best day”. Demonstrate flexibility to adjust priorities in response to resident needs. Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting. Assist residents with transferring, repositioning and walking. Obtain vital signs accurately and report changes in resident health status. Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established clinical best practices. Participate actively in the resident’s care planning and care conference, serving as the residents' closest advocate in providing care and honoring their preferences. Create a positive dining experience for customers. Assist residents with eating. Encourage resident participation in the dining program, and meal activities. Assist in preparing, storing, recording and serving meals, beverages and snacks for residents/customers. Greet each person with warmth and sincerity. Anticipate needs and provide personalized service. Qualifications Successful completion of a state approved nursing assistant training program and current certification in Minnesota within six months of employment. Training paid by Heartwood. Demonstrated competencies in person-directed, resident-directed practice, home building, critical thinking, teamwork, self-leadership, and interpersonal effectiveness. Demonstrated compatibility with Heartwood's mission and operating philosophies. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers. Located in Crosby, MN, Heartwood offers a range of senior living options, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and a skilled nursing facility.
