Requirements summary
Requires a current CA RN license, BLS certification, and an ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate. Candidates must have at least one year of RN experience with direct experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
This is a per diem/casual position working 10-hr day shifts on varied weekdays, generally from 7:30am-6pm.
Training will be full time hours for about 4 weeks.
Located at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo but required to travel to the Torrey Pines Clinic as needed.
Minimum shift requirement 4 shifts/4 weeks.

The Cancer Treatment Room / Oncology Infusion Center at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo has 25 treatment chairs and handles approximately 55–70 cancer treatments per day, including oncology infusions and supportive therapies The care team includes charge and resource nurses and resources, and you will work in close contact with the clinic provider and their team.
What you'll do: Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures, medication administration, chemotherapy/biotherapy administration as appropriate.
Educate patients and document patient interactions.
Practice infection control.
Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice #LI-JS1
Required Qualifications
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate. Completion of accredited RN program. Minimum 1 year RN experience. Current CA RN license. Current American Heart Association BLS certificate. Direct experience administering IV chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Preferred Qualifications
1 or more years RN experience in an outpatient Oncology setting. Excellent IV skills and experience with central venous catheters. Outpatient chemo infusion experience.
