The Certified Medical Assistant supports a patient-centered approach by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording medical information. They also prepare treatment rooms and assist physicians in the examination and treatment of patients.
Requires a high school diploma and certification from AMT, AAMA, NHA, or MedCA, along with a current BLS certification. One year of patient care experience and completion of an accredited medical assisting program are preferred.
