• DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Anticipates the needs of the surgical team.
• Assists with the teaching of newly hired technologists and student technologists.
• Serves as a role model to new employees and other staff members.
• Communicates effectively with patients, staff members and physicians.
• Adheres to standards, including but not limited to: unit and hospital policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and patient safety goals.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or Certified Operating Room Surgical Technician (CORST) certification by National Health Career Association (NHA), or Technician in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) certification by National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
