Provide direct and indirect patient care by assisting medical and nursing staff with clinical tasks. Responsibilities include recording vitals, administering medications, and preparing patients for examinations.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA. BLS certification is required, and graduation from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program is strongly preferred.
Taking medical histories and recording vitals. Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician. Perform phlebotomy and manage lab supply orders. Authorize drug refills as directed. Telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy. Perform other clinical functions as delegated and supervised by the physician. Collect and prepare laboratory. Explaining treatment procedures to patients. Preparing patients for examinations procedures.
