Certified Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech at Surgical Specialists at Princeton

The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team.

Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures.

Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures.

Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.

Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical / Scrub Technician Certification Program
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
  • 1-2 years of operating room experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification required by state/center
  • BLS certification
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Pay Range

$31.81 - $37.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
