The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading healthcare organization in Las Vegas, NM, to hire an experienced and compassionate Emergency Room Charge Nurse (RN) to lead clinical teams and deliver exceptional patient care. As an ER Charge Nurse, you will lead daily emergency department operations, coordinate patient care, support and mentor nursing staff, and ensure high standards of quality, safety, and patient care.

Shift

Full-Time | Nights What You'll Do Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee patient care in the Emergency Department Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for emergent and acute patients Serve as a clinical mentor through coaching, team support, and guidance in high-acuity situations Ensure compliance with nursing, emergency care, safety, infection control, & regulatory standards Lead daily operations, patient flow, and triage coordination in a fast-paced emergency setting Coordinate staffing, resources, and communication among care teams, patients, and families Respond effectively to emergencies, trauma activations, and critical incidents Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation What We Are Looking For Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred 2+ years of Registered Nurse experience required 1+ year of Emergency Department or related acute care experience preferred Previous leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience strongly preferred Licensures & Certifications Current New Mexico RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required TNCC certification required within 90 days of hire Additional Skills Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, effective communication & leadership skills Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional growth Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment What You Can Expect

Requirements

Candidates must possess a current or compact state Registered Nurse license and must obtain Basic Life Support certification within six weeks of hiring. Proficiency in English and familiarity with standard medical and nursing equipment are also required.
