The Medical Assistant is responsible for greeting patients, documenting vital signs, and managing office visit details. They also provide front office support and perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy and injections as needed.
A high school diploma and CPR certification are required, while a medical assisting program graduate and MA certification are preferred. One year of work experience is required, though on-the-job training is available for those without specific MA experience.
CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
