The Graduate Nurse provides continuity of care and performs systematic patient assessments under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include formulating care plans, implementing nursing processes, and managing emergency patient situations.
Candidates must possess a Graduate Nurse temporary permit and obtain RN licensure within six months of hire. BLS certification is required, and ACLS must be obtained within six months of employment.
As a Graduate Nurse (GN) strict adherence to all state applicable rules and regulations must be followed. The GN must practice only under appropriate direction and supervision of a State Registered Nurse. Under the direction of the RN Manager or Staff RN, act as patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the healthcare team and supporting the philosophy, objectives and goals of the facility. Under the direction of the RN Manager or Staff RN, responsible for assessing the needs of individual patients including but not limited to adult, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
