About the role

The physician will provide outpatient primary care services, including diagnosing illnesses, prescribing treatments, and monitoring patient health. Responsibilities also include collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers and representing the practice on hospital committees.

At NorthBay Health the Board Certified, Licensed Primary Care Physician will practice in our highly regarded health system in Northern California.

This position is a Full Time Float FM/IM Physician to support our growth, expansion and coverage in Primary Care throughout the region.

  • Outpatient only
  • Call
  • Ratio: Balanced call ratio split between physicians and sites
  • Daily

  • Census: 18 patients per day
  • Equipment/Resources: Access to state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive resources
  • Provider
  • Support: Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)

Primary Responsibilities

Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary Represents the practice at Hospital committees in such a manner that the burden of attending the meetings is reasonably distributed among all of the physicians in the group Collaborate and manage APPs

Compensation Structure NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements. Remote Work Disclosure NorthBay Health is primarily an onsite organization due to the nature of healthcare. Requirements

Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. A valid California medical license and proven experience in a primary care setting are required.
