We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team at MedCura Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced clinical environment. In this dual‑function role, the Medical Assistant will also provide front‑office support, including patient registration, appointment coordination, and assisting with check‑in workflows to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred. Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting is a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a busy environment. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Medical Assistant Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information. Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and proper setup. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers. Perform basic laboratory tests and handle specimen collection. Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow. Provide patient education and instructions on treatment plans and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation. Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Registration Duties Greet patients and complete check‑in and registration workflows. Verify demographic, insurance, and contact information for accuracy. Collect required forms, consents, and identification at the time of visit. Assist with appointment confirmations, reminders, and schedule adjustments. Support front‑office operations by answering phones and routing messages appropriately. Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient movement throughout the visit. Monitor waiting areas and communicate updates to patients as needed.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required, with certification preferred. Candidates should be proficient in EHR systems and possess strong interpersonal skills.
