Perform venous ultrasound procedures, including radio frequency ablation and venous Doppler, while providing compassionate patient care. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure the work area is clean and properly stocked.
Requires an ARRT registry and Indiana license, or RDMS certification/eligibility, along with BLS or CPR certification. Previous experience in vascular ultrasound and radio frequency ablation is highly preferred.
Demonstrates ability and appropriate technical skills when administering ultrasound procedures including but not limited to radio frequency ablation and venous Doppler procedures as associated with department policies and procedures and/or as needed by physician.
Compassionately gives patient care to provide comfort and well-being to the patient acknowledging physiological and psychological needs through policy and procedures governing department.
Prioritizes and performs duties to complete daily assignments in an appropriate and timely manner.
Completes documentation thoroughly, legibly and accurately according to department guidelines and in a timely manner.
Actively participates in charge capture/cost containment activities according to specialty area expectations.
Ensures that designated work area is clean and stocked with supplies on an ongoing basis. Operates equipment correctly and reports any needed repairs.
Participates in orientation, education and self-development, which may include student training.
Searches for better ways of doing things by recommending and/or initiating suggestions for improvement of departmental operations and/or services provided.
Works well with others and supports team efforts. Provides quality service to all customers, both internal and external.
Demonstrates flexibility and responsibility in accepting work assignments. Responds positively to changing circumstances.
Practices radiation safety in accordance to ALARA principles for protection.
Shows proficiency in use of JMH and Radiology Information system pertaining to job specific functions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
