The RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care in the Surgical ICU by utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of care plans. They are responsible for coordinating care delivery, promoting health, and collaborating with the healthcare team and families.
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut with required ICU RN experience and BCLS certification. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required, with a BSN preferred.

1. STANDARDS OF PRACTICERN practice is guided by the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice (2015). The Standards of Practice describe a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by utilizing the nursing process components of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.
ICU RN experience required.
