The Lab Assistant performs phlebotomy on adult, neonatal, and pediatric patients while processing specimens and maintaining lab equipment. They are also responsible for patient check-ins, order entry in the LIS, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and a CPR/Basic Life Support certification. Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to maintain high accuracy under pressure are required.
This position will work at a casual status of 16 hours per week.

Job Summary The Lab Assistant is responsible for supporting laboratory operations by performing phlebotomy on patients, maintaining lab equipment, processing of specimens, performing tests and quality control, and ensuring the lab safety protocols are followed. This role reports to the lab leader.
