The radiology nurse collaborates with physicians to provide physical and psychological support to patients and families. Key duties include managing care during interventional radiology, bronchoscopy procedures, and cardiac monitoring during MRI studies.
Candidates must have a BSN, at least one year of nursing experience, and specific experience in Critical Care. Valid ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.
The role of the radiology nurse promotes and restores patients' health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families Managing patient care during: Interventional Radiology and Bronchoscopy procedures Critical Care Transports to radiology for various modalities Cardiac Monitoring oversight during MRI studies BSN and 1 year of nursing experience Critical Care experience required ACLS and BLS required from the American Heart Association
