About the role

Provide person-centered occupational therapy to improve residents' independence, safety, and quality of life. Responsibilities include evaluating physical conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Join our team as a (Prn) occupational therapist (Ot)

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care focused on improving residents’ independence, safety, and quality of life through meaningful daily activities and functional outcomes.

  • Your impact as an occupational therapist (Ot)
  • Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life
  • Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
  • Assess patients’ home and living environments and recommend modifications based on their needs and capabilities
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and provide training to support independence and safety
  • Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and modify interventions as clinically appropriate in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
  • Comply with all applicable rules, regulations, and procedures
  • Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

  • What makes you a great fit
  • Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license
  • In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
  • Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices
  • Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
  • Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills

Requirements

Requires an active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license and good standing with regulatory boards. Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and familiarity with Net Health documentation are preferred.
