The University of Kansas Health System, St. Francis Campus is seeking an OBGYN to join its dynamic team at our Women’s Center in beautiful Topeka, Kansas.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a well-established, growing practice within a renowned academic health system. Recognized by Forbes as one of its ‘Best Employers’ offering resources and long-term career growth.

Join a collaborative team consisting of five experienced physicians, one advanced practice provider, three certified nurse midwives, and dedicated support staff.

This position offers a traditional blend of clinic and inpatient care, with a manageable call schedule of 1:8, including weekend and holiday rotations.

The workweek runs Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with one designated day off during the week.

Clinical operations are conveniently located next to the hospital, with a second clinic situated just over eight miles away.

Providers typically see four patients per hour in the clinic, with inpatient volumes varying.

Enjoy additional perks such as excess call pay and a post-call day off.

The practice is equipped with advanced technology including the DaVinci Robot, general laparoscopy, Myosure, hysteroscopy, and Novasure endometrial ablation.

Onsite resources include three full-time sonographers, in-office labs, and non-stress testing.

Services also include hormone replacement therapy.

Documentation and workflow and streamlined with Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology, helping providers see more patients efficiently without extending their day promoting better work-life balance and optimized revenue.

Support and Procedural Details

  • Clinic days: 2 full days of clinic, 1 day call and inpatient rounding, and 1 day for surgery
  • In-office procedures: LEEP, colposcopy cryotherapy, in-office hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, IUD insertions and Nexplanon insertions
  • Surgical procedures: All Gynecological related procedures
  • MFM located in the same building for high-risk obstetrics referrals
  • Access to specialty services such as REI, GYN oncology, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery
  • Labor and delivery

Unit

  • 8 labor beds, triage room, and 10 post-partum rooms with labor and delivery OR on the unit. Level 2 nursery 33 weeks and up
  • Privileges at 2 hospitals with Level 3 available for 22 weeks and up
  • 85-90% of deliveries are performed at The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus

Required Qualifications

  • MD/DO or equivalent
  • Board certified/board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Eligible for licensure in Kansas
