This role operates interventional radiology equipment safely and efficiently while minimizing radiation exposure. It supports physicians during invasive procedures, maintains sterile technique, and prepares and monitors patients throughout each exam. Responsibilities include completing QA tasks, performing routine equipment cleaning, and following all hospital, state, and federal safety standards.
The technologist must be proficient in all IR procedures, assist with venous access, review patient histories, and identify potential risks. The position also manages inventory, maintains accurate documentation required by the medical center and regulatory agencies, and ensures correct procedure charging and coding. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold current CPR certification. Required credentials include ARRT(R) registration or eligibility and state licensure for Kentucky or Indiana.
