The Lactation RN provides education and support to parents regarding breastfeeding, pumping, and kangaroo care while managing the storage and ordering of banked breast milk. They are also responsible for performing general staff nurse activities and acting as a charge nurse when assigned.
Candidates must have an Associate's degree in nursing, a Florida nursing license, and BLS certification, with a BSN required within three years of hire. Required certifications include NRP within 6 months and IBCLC certification within 24 months, along with 1-2 years of related experience.
