The Medical Assistant performs patient care duties including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and assisting physicians during examinations. They also handle clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient charts, and pre-authorizing clinical tests.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, and a current BLS/CPR certification. A Medical Assistant certificate or one year of experience is required, along with familiarity with medical terminology.
