A current RN license from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners is required. Preference is given to candidates with 1-3 years of oncology experience and Oncology Nurse Certification.
JOB SUMMARY: Provides patient care coordination, physician support and skilled nursing assessment and evaluation. Responsible for coordinating the physician’s schedules to include patient care, administrative time and other meetings.
Ensures collection of all information necessary for patient assessment at scheduled clinic visits. Conducts skilled nursing assessments that evaluate physical and emotional status of patients and coordinates appropriate care and follow-up. Assists physician with time management to provide timely quality care and follow-up. Provides clinical data to ensure proper authorizations are obtained to assure accurate scheduling, billing, and reimbursement. Educates patient and family on disease process and addresses their individual needs and concerns. Performs other duties as assigned.
Current RN license issued by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners. Preferred 1 – 3 years of oncology experience with Oncology Nurse Certification.
