The Oncology Navigator manages the care of cancer patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care. They serve as the primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, and physicians to facilitate access to clinical and supportive services.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid Georgia State or Multistate RN license and at least 2 years of nursing experience. Oncology experience and OCN certification are preferred.
Overview This schedule is Monday-Friday. However, our team participates in occasional community outreach afterhours and on weekends. Piedmont Macon is a 310-bed, acute-care community hospital that has served the Macon community for over 50 years. The medical center offers 24-hour emergency care and all major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.
The Oncology Navigator is responsible for managing the care of identified patients with cancer, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, to ensure access to high quality care throughout the continuum. Serves as a single point of contact for cancer patients, caregivers, and referring physicians, and provides resources and assistance with accessing clinical and non-clinical supportive care services offered by Piedmont Healthcare and its community partners.
