Responsible for delivering nursing care within the Cardiac Cath Lab following hospital policies and standards of practice. Duties include assessing patients, implementing care plans, and overseeing ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
Requires a nursing degree, a current State of Michigan RN license, and BLS certification. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or ED.
Responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the assigned unit scope of practice following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Assesses each assigned patient, documents and evaluates their response to plan of care, and takes appropriate corrective action. 2. Plans and implements the patient’s plan of care/standard of care and provides patient teaching using the plan of care/standard of care. 3. Oversees all ancillary personnel for technical tasks.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. One year or more experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, ICU, or ED. Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license. BLS certification as Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months.
· One year of professional nursing experience. · One year experience working with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABPs)
