Highlights include: 31-bed Emergency Department 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for acute patients Specially designed behavioral health safe rooms Care for patients across the lifespan with a wide range of medical emergencies Designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center How you’ll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.

Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.

Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.

What we’re looking for The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Applicants should have a current RN VA or compact state license and possess an associate’s degree in nursing.

Additional requirements include: Bachelor’s degree preferred American Heart Association Basic Life Support American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) within 6 months.

Requirements

Requires a current VA RN license or compact state license and AHA Basic Life Support certification. ACLS and PALS/ENPC certifications are required within six months, with a bachelor's degree and acute care experience preferred.
