Must be an independently licensed therapist (LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC) with strong crisis intervention and short-term counseling skills. Requires deep knowledge of child development, medical terminology, and the ability to make independent clinical decisions.
Market context
In New York, urgent care clinical therapist openings tend to draw steady interest because employers need independently licensed clinicians who can handle crisis intervention, brief counseling, and fast-paced clinical decision-making. These roles are competitive when they require child development knowledge, medical terminology, and the ability to work independently in a medical setting.
