Provides physician-supervised physical and emotional care for mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. Manages labor progress and provides immediate care for newborns while collaborating with attending physicians.
Requires a Bachelor's in Nursing, a Master's in Nurse Midwifery, and American Midwifery Board Certification. Must hold current Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Midwife licenses in New York State.
