Assists providers in the examination and treatment of patients while providing administrative support throughout the practice. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, recording vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms.
Requires a Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, CMA, NCMA, RMA) or completion of an accredited MA/LPN program. One year of clinical experience in a physician office and familiarity with electronic medical records are preferred.
1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting preferred. Practical knowledge in the following areas is preferred: examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion.
