The Psychiatrist provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment to incarcerated patients while offering clinical consultation to healthcare staff. This includes monitoring psychotropic medications and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree with specialty training in psychiatry and a current unrestricted medical license in the state of practice. Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry, DEA registration, and BLS certification are also required.
