About the role

Provide behavioral health services to people experiencing homelessness using a mobile medical van to engage patients in low-barrier environments. Work within an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver mental health and chemical dependency interventions.

Greater Portland Health is looking for an independently licensed behavioral health clinician (full licensure is required - LCSW, LCPC, LADC).

The population served is primarily people experiencing homelessness. The team is mobile and will primary connect with patients in the community via our mobile medical van, with the goal of engaging patients in a low barrier environment.

The part-time schedule would include Mondays 12-7pm, Wednesdays 8-430pm, and Thursdays 8-430pm.

Master’s degree in social work and licensed as a Clinical Social Worker by the State of Maine required.

Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions.

Competence in emergency assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of various psychiatric/chemical dependencies to adequately meet position requirements.

Competency for adults, geriatrics, and disability-based for chemical dependency required.

Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in social work and licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in Maine. Candidates must possess expertise in behavioral medicine and competence in emergency psychiatric and chemical dependency assessments.
