The Respiratory Therapist II performs respiratory assessments, therapeutic treatments, and evaluations for all patient populations. They coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure an excellent patient experience and maintain regulatory compliance.
Requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Care and a valid Ohio Respiratory Care License. Must hold an NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential and BLS/ACLS certifications, with NRP and PALS required within six months.
The Respiratory Therapist (RT II) functions in a skilled role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT II is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RT II will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience. The RT II is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.
