Provides general medical assistant support to Hematology and Oncology physicians and advanced practice providers in outpatient clinic and infusion settings. Ensures individualized care for medical oncology patients while supporting the mission of Mercy Medical Center.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience, preferably in a medical office. CPR certification is preferred, and proficiency in Epic and Microsoft Outlook is desired.
Provides general Medical Assistant assistance to Hematology and Oncology physicians and advanced practice providers in an outpatient setting in the clinic or in infusion. The staff member demonstrates competency in applying principles when providing individualized care to medical oncology patients.

Epic (if applicable to position) Microsoft Outlook Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
