Provides direct patient care by assisting with examinations, procedures, and the collection of pre-operative information. Maintains a clean clinical environment and manages patient charts and vital signs.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a current Medical Assistant certification. Must hold a current CPR certification and demonstrate clinical competency.
Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant- PRN (Every Monday and some Wednesdays)
Provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. Assists with gathering pre-operative patient information, such as labs, EKG’s, orders, H&P’s and clearances, from physician offices. Assists with daily filing and organizing of patient charts and paperwork in the pre-assessment area.
Reporting Relationship: Position report to Clinical Director
High school graduate or equivalent. Medical Assistant certification, current CPR. Demonstrates necessary clinical competency.
