Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, and implementing age-appropriate, family-centered care. Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting vital signs, and coordinating patient referrals in a fast-paced setting.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or an Associate degree with a BSN path) and a valid Texas RN license or Compact license. Candidates must have Basic Life Support certification and at least 9 months of professional nursing experience.
We are searching for an Inpatient Staff Nurse -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care that incorporates family-centered principles and cost-effective care.

Assists in the collection of patient/family data that may include biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information per site protocol
Collects and documents vital signs, height/weight and reason for visit
Prepares patient for examination per site protocol
Assists provider, as directed, during treatments, examinations and testing as directed by provider and within scope of site
Administers medication and immunizations as directed by physician per site protocol
Documents administration of medication and immunizations in the medical record per site protocol
Provides patient/family education as instructed by the physician or site protocol
Documents such education in the medical record
Coordinates referrals
Triages presenting patient complaint per site protocol
Verifies provider order and patient per site protocol
Collects and processes specimen according to manufacturer’s instructions and using proper technique
Demonstrates service philosophies to patients and families

Skills & Requirements
Associate degree in nursing/related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and a signed agreement
Technical Diploma in Nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement
Must be currently enrolled in A Nursing Bridge Program working toward an MSN. Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required.
RN License – Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse Licensure Compact
Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required
